MESSAGE FROM VC's DESK
PROF. YOGESH SINGH
Academics is the core of any educational institution and students are its soul. The journey of learning within and beyond the walls of the classrooms transform the learners into a confident competent youth, akin to that of larva that evolves into a beautiful butterfly. With the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) through the undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022 (UGCF) at the UG level in the University, several reforms have been brought about in the academic sphere of the University. The UGCF 2022 aims to embed within the curricular structure the fundamental aspects of NEP 2020. When carefully perused, the UGCF 2022 ensures that every student has in depth knowledge in one or more disciplines, depending upon the programmes that she choses. MESSAGE FROM DEAN'S DESK
PROF. K RATNABALI
A very heartfelt and affectionate welcome to all the students who are part of this esteemed University, celebrating its 100th year on 1st May 2022. The University of Delhi is renowned for its exceptional contributions towards teaching, research, and service in nation-building. As an Institution of Eminence (IoE), we provide equal opportunities for students from different streams at various levels of education. To meet the challenges in higher education, the University has adopted, over time, the Semester system, FYUP, Choice Based Credit System, LOCF, and now the New Education Policy (NEP). After extensive discussions with various stakeholders, a common Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) was designed and has been further refined based on stakeholder feedback. The University has carefully considered UGCF to align with NEP 2020.

NEW EDUCATION POLICY
The NEP 2020 reforms higher education with flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and skill development. It introduces a four-year UG program, multiple entry-exit options, and a credit bank. The policy emphasizes research, technology, and vocational training, aiming for a 50% GER by 2035 and fostering critical thinking over rote learning.

UGCF 2022
Delhi University (DU) implemented the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022 under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to provide a flexible and multidisciplinary learning experience. The framework introduces a Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) with multiple exit options, allowing students to earn a certificate, diploma, or degree.

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Delhi University (DU) introduced Interdisciplinary Programs (IDP) under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022 to promote diverse and integrated learning. These programs allow students to combine courses from multiple disciplines, fostering a broader academic perspective.
