MESSAGE FROM VC's DESK
PROF. YOGESH SINGH
Academics is the core of any educational institution and students are its soul. The journey of learning within and beyond the walls of the classrooms transform the learners into a confident competent youth, akin to that of larva that evolves into a beautiful butterfly. With the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) through the undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022 (UGCF) at the UG level in the University, several reforms have been brought about in the academic sphere of the University. The UGCF 2022 aims to embed within the curricular structure the fundamental aspects of NEP 2020. When carefully perused, the UGCF 2022 ensures that every student has in depth knowledge in one or more disciplines, depending upon the programmes that she choses. This has been made possible by ensuring that 50% or more credits per semester are earned from the core discipline(s).
MESSAGE FROM DEAN'S DESK
PROF. K RATNABALI
Academics is the very soul of every educational institution. It nurtures learners with knowledge, shapes their competencies and equip them with skills in such a way that it brings metamorphic transformation from what they were when they join in and the day they graduate.
The University of Delhi, right from its inception, has assiduously persevered to maintain high academic standards. It has been a pioneer in many academic endeavours, leaving trails for others to emulate. It consistently strived to contribute to the nation building by grooming the youths and preparing them to serve the country in meaningful ways. This has been made possible by regularly revamping the curriculum, upgrading the syllabi, adopting better pedagogies and assessment mechanisms through relevant curricular framework from time to time.
When the National Education Policy 2020 was rolled out, it was but natural for the University to take the challenge of its implementation head on. This entailed major overhauling of the academic system with the help of the stakeholders. Being a major transformation, several guidelines and minor modifications, which were considered necessary during the course of the implementation, were issued from time to time.
These guidelines, syllabi, instructions and circulars were posted on the website of the University under different tabs, which at times, was not easily accessible/discoverable. There was thus a felt need to come up with a separate webpage of ‘academic affairs’ to put all of these at one place for the sake of convenience and easy accessibility.
A humble attempt has been made to make it user friendly and address various queries through the ‘FAQs’ (Frequently Asked Questions) section. The FAQs shall be updated from time to time. We encourage the faculty members and students to use this website to know the latest notification related to academics.
Like the wind beneath the wings, the academics of this century old University stands committed to make our students soar high in the sky of their dreams.

New Education Policy (NEP 2020)
NEP 2020 envisions a holistic, multidisciplinary and flexible system of higher education with emphasis on critical thinking, skill development, research and innovation. It promotes learner-centric education, multiple pathways and academic mobility. It aims to create an inclusive and globally relevant education system that prepares students for lifelong learning and future challenges.

UGCF - 2022
The Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, implemented in line with NEP 2020, introduces the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) with multiple entry and exit options, Academic Bank of Credits and multidisciplinary learning. UGCF 2022 provides flexibility to students through internships, research opportunities, skill enhancement and the option to earn a Certificate, Diploma, Degree or Degree with Honours/Research/ Entrepreneurship.

PGCF 2025
The Postgraduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF) 2025 extends the vision of NEP 2020 to postgraduate education through interdisciplinary learning, research orientation and outcome-based curriculum design. PGCF 2025 strengthens postgraduate studies through credit-based learning, continuous assessment, interdisciplinary electives, internships and integration of research and field-based learning.
